Deadlines
January 9th: Initial Submissions due
All team submission documents MUST be uploaded through the website before 12:00am Eastern Standard Time, January 9th, 2009. To upload your team's submission documents login using your username and password and click on the submission documents section. You will be able to upload the three required files there. All three files must be uploaded in order for your submission to be eligible for the competition.
February 1st: Finalists are Notified
If your team is selected as a finalist, the team leader and team advisor will be notified by email no later than February 1st.
February 23rd - Finalist team profiles and Phase A plan due
Finalists team profiles are automatically generated upon becoming a finalist. Team members must update specific information and upload files to their profile. An initial profile is due on February 23rd; however, there is also a requirement for several updates to be posted to the team profile after that date.
March 2nd - Online voting and team support pages open
The public will have an opportunity to view, vote and support (financially) teams after this date. The team profile will be how public users view team information, rate team concepts, and donate to support a team's continued research (as noted in the Phase A plan developed by the team).
April 2nd-4th - Conrad Award Innovation SummitTM and final competition
The Innovation SummitTM is the final program of the Pete Conrad Spirit of Innovation Awards. This is being conducted in conjunction with Yuri's Night - a celebration of the first manned spaceflight - at NASA Ames Research center in Moffett Field, California. All finalist teams are invited to the Innovation SummitTM for workshops, presentations, and activities. To compete and be eligible for the final awards, all finalists must present their concept to the judging panels and create a tradeshow style display. A complete list of activities, workshops, and competition schedules will be listed in the spring.
