This incredible opportunity is brought to you by our 2012-2013 Cyber-Security and Technology partner, Battelle. We encourage all of our students to apply for this week long challenge which is free of charge aside from travel to and from Aberdeen, MD.
The Challenge:
Malware, intrusion detection systems, spyware,
DMZs, computer zombies...these are not the sort
of things you usually associate with a Sunday
drive—but you should. The car you buy next
year will run as much code as your computer or
a passenger jet; and have more communications
uplinks than your office or local internet café. All
these will improve safety, efficiency, and in-transit
flexibility—but there are risks. Learn the security
challenges associated with building the future
transportation system. Learn how to adopt secure
developmental and cyber architecture to combat
these threats.
The Battelle CyberAuto Challenge establishes
integrated teams of students, scientists,
government personnel, and auto industry
engineers that engage in a practicum-based
series of challenges. You’ll work on real cars.
You’ll engage with government and industry and
maybe help influence decisions and policies—
and you’ll help develop a network of mentors and
colleagues for the next chapter of your life.
