Team Description We are Monta Vista High School's local chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America from Cupertino. This year, our entry is based primarily on the construction and provision of a drug delivery system that could be utilized in space explorations.
Product Name BeIN Implant
Product Description Our product, the BeIN implant, is a solution that will help reactivate the immune system while astronauts and space travelers are in space, helping reduce treatment costs upon return to Earth and preventing the entire mission to be jeopardized. Such a problem could cost companies billions of dollars, much more than the cost of our implant.

Making use of proprietary nanotechnology, our implant has numerous benefits. Not only is it be sterile and cost-effective, it is also fully biocompatible, thus making it 100% safe to use in any human body. Because it is semipermeable, the implant can be injected prior to launch and timed to release the medicine once in flight. By providing a temporary microenvironment, it will be able to support any biological insert, thus making it highly adaptable - "one solution fits all". Being very durable, it has a long shelf life, making it easy to store and use only when needed.

The BeIN implant will be available to government agencies and private space agencies alike, making space travel much safer than before. Due to its affordability, the implant will provide space travelers with peace of mind through a simple, cost-effective solution.

In-space routine and trauma clinical medicine are real challenges. You clearly have applied technology in an innovative way to begin to address some of them.

This is a really good idea, and I'm so glad you guys approached this concept from a business rather than a technical perspective. Good luck at the summit.
